Provide asynchronous telemedicine care for patients seeking weight loss treatment, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, medication prescribing, and dose titration. The role centers on prompt, empathetic virtual visits and clear written communication, with care delivered through a telehealth platform that handles business operations separately. Clinicians also follow platform guidelines, complete required training, and use EMR and online tools to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct asynchronous telemedicine visits for weight loss care.
- Assess, screen, diagnose, prescribe, and titrate medications as clinically appropriate.
- Provide prompt, empathetic, high-quality patient communication on the platform.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines, platform policies, and required training.
- Use EMR systems and online tools to document care and communicate with patients.
- Coordinate with the telemedicine operations team as needed to support care delivery.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- At least 1 year of clinical practice experience, excluding orientation/training.
- At least 2 active medical state licenses in good standing.
- Ability to provide asynchronous telemedicine care.
- Residence in the continental United States.
Preferred
- Additional certification in Obesity Medicine.
- Experience with weight loss treatments.
- Willingness to work more than 10 hours per week.
- Experience with telemedicine workflows and digital care tools.
