Lead clinical protocol design and quality assurance for virtual on-demand, urgent, and convenience care programs serving patients through a tech-enabled telehealth platform. This role focuses on building and refining care pathways, using outcome data and AI-supported workflows to improve safety, consistency, and scale. It also partners closely with product and engineering to translate clinical standards into platform logic and decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, update, and refine clinical protocols for virtual care programs.
- Translate protocols into platform logic and integrate them across partner workflows.
- Lead the clinical quality assurance program and turn findings into actionable feedback.
- Use AI tools to support quality review, scalability, and workflow improvement.
- Develop frameworks to track patient and clinical outcomes over time.
- Manage patient safety escalation protocols and active clinical escalations.
- Collaborate with product and engineering on clinical tooling and decision support.
Required
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
- Active medical license in good standing in one or more states.
- Substantial clinical practice experience, including virtual care or telemedicine.
- Prior clinical leadership experience in telehealth, digital health, or a high-volume virtual practice.
- Hands-on experience building, running, or auditing a clinical QA program.
- Experience authoring and maintaining clinical protocols.
- Able to pass NCQA credentialing and standardized background checks.
Preferred
- Primary care experience.
- Experience integrating AI or automation into clinical quality or protocol workflows.
- Comfort with EHR configuration, clinical decision support, or point-of-care tooling.
- Multi-state licensure.
- ABOM certification or expertise in cardio-metabolic conditions.
