Description

Provide virtual primary and urgent care visits for patients across a range of telehealth programs, with opportunities to support women’s health, men’s health, weight management, dermatology, and pediatrics. Care is delivered both asynchronously and synchronously, with review of intake information, patient photos, and clinical guidelines to guide safe assessment and prescribing. The role also includes structured documentation, patient messaging or video visits, and referral to in-person care when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based virtual care through asynchronous consults and live video visits.
  • Review patient histories, medication lists, and submitted photos to support clinical decision-making.
  • Conduct focused assessments using platform workflows, clinical snippets, and treatment guidelines.
  • Prescribe medications in line with eligibility criteria, formulary guidance, and safety parameters.
  • Document encounters in structured SOAP notes, including counseling, rationale, and follow-up plans.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients through secure messaging and video.
  • Refer patients to in-person care when clinical criteria are not met or higher-level evaluation is needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance, chart audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with clinical operations for onboarding, support, and guideline updates.
  • Escalate urgent safety concerns according to platform protocols.
Required
  • Board-certified physician in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Active California medical license.
  • Interstate Medical Licensure Compact membership and Letter of Qualification.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in emergency, urgent care, or primary care/family medicine.
  • Ability to provide both synchronous and asynchronous consults.
  • Willingness to obtain additional licenses as requested.
  • Available to work 36 clinic hours per week, including one weekend shift.
  • Available for 4 hours per week of NP supervision work.
Preferred
  • Experience treating pediatric patients.
  • Comfort with clinical weight management.
  • Multiple active medical licenses.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort with technology and virtual care workflows.
