Physicians provide synchronous and asynchronous virtual care for patients across a mix of primary care, urgent care, women’s and men’s health, weight management, dermatology, and pediatrics. The work includes clinical assessment, safe prescribing, patient counseling, and referral to in-person care when needed. Clinicians use structured workflows and secure messaging or video visits while working within a tech-enabled telehealth platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based virtual care through asynchronous consults and live video visits.
- Review patient intake materials, including history, medication lists, and submitted photos, to support safe prescribing decisions.
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop tailored education and treatment plans using platform guidelines and workflows.
- Prescribe medications in alignment with eligibility criteria, formulary guidance, and clinical safety parameters.
- Document encounters in structured SOAP notes with rationale, counseling, and follow-up recommendations.
- Communicate with patients through secure messaging and live visits in a professional, compassionate manner.
- Refer patients to in-person care when virtual care criteria are not met.
- Collaborate with clinical operations teams for onboarding, platform support, guideline updates, and quality improvement.
- Participate in chart audits, quality assurance activities, and urgent escalation protocols.
- Provide supervision support for nurse practitioners as scheduled.
Required
- Board-certified physician in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or family medicine/primary care.
- Active medical licensure in 40 or more states.
- Ability to perform both synchronous and asynchronous consults.
- Comfort with clinical weight management.
- Availability for scheduled clinic hours and nurse practitioner supervision work.
Preferred
- Experience treating pediatric patients.
- Prior comfort working with virtual care technology and digital workflows.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
