This physician leader guides the clinical strategy for a virtual care platform, ensuring programs, protocols, and quality standards support safe, evidence-based care at scale. The role centers on working with product, engineering, commercial, operations, and account teams to translate clinical requirements into a digital-first care model and to support enterprise client discussions. It is a remote, fractional leadership position for an experienced medical executive in virtual care or health tech.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead clinical strategy and serve as the medical voice for virtual care programs.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to embed clinical requirements into platform development.
- Support enterprise sales and client discussions by explaining clinical protocols and operational workflows.
- Design and oversee clinical quality improvement and safety governance programs.
- Define clinical KPIs and guide remediation efforts for safety escalations.
- Ensure protocols are evidence-based, compliant, and optimized for digital-first care delivery.
- Coordinate with Account Management and Operations to support program execution and client retention.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- At least 10 years of medical practice experience.
- At least 7 years of leadership experience in virtual care or health-tech environments.
- Experience in clinical informatics and safety program implementation.
- Ability to communicate clinical concepts to non-clinical stakeholders.
Preferred
- Active use of AI in clinical applications and productivity tools.
- Experience working in a fast-paced scaling technology environment.
- Background partnering with commercial, product, engineering, or operations teams.
