This role centers on collaborative psychiatric oversight for outpatient telepsychiatry, supporting medication management and therapy care for children, adolescents, and adults. The clinician meets with a provider team and supervising NPs by teleconference, reviews charts and clinical questions, and helps guide care for general mental health concerns. It is a remote, flexible practice supported by administrative staff, a clinician support team, and a structured patient management system.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct teleconference meetings with provider teams and supervising NPs to support collaborative care.
- Review charts, clinical questions, and escalations in a timely manner.
- Provide oversight for NP-delivered care under collaborative practice agreements.
- Execute responsibilities outlined in physician collaboration agreements, including case reviews and prescription consultations.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and feedback to clinicians under supervision.
- Support general clinical matters related to outpatient psychiatric care.
Required
- Active California medical license.
- Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry.
- At least 1 year of experience as a psychiatrist.
- Experience with adult and/or child and adolescent populations.
- Experience in both medication management and psychotherapy.
- Valid DEA certification.
Preferred
- 2 years of experience in mental health.
- Clinical and administrative supervisory experience.
- Experience with telehealth or telemedicine.
