Provide telehealth-based obesity medicine and general clinical care for patients seeking weight-health support, with continuity over time through video and chat visits. The role also includes reviewing intake and medical history, evaluating progress, and educating patients on obesity science, treatment options, and lifestyle changes. Care is delivered through a virtual platform with structured clinical protocols and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a patient panel with continuity of care.
- Conduct video and chat consultations to review intake information and medical history.
- Provide clinical guidance and treatment for obesity and related weight-health concerns.
- Monitor patients through regular treatment evaluations and progress check-ins.
- Educate patients on obesity science, treatment options, and lifestyle adjustments.
- Use the telehealth platform and online tools to communicate with patients and deliver care.
Required
- MD or DO degree from an accredited university.
- Current ABMS board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, or OB/GYN.
- At least 2-3 years of practice experience after residency.
- At least 1 year of telemedicine experience, including synchronous and asynchronous care.
- At least 2 active state medical licenses.
- Availability for 10-15 hours per week, including at least 8 hours per week for synchronous visits.
Preferred
- Experience in obesity medicine.
- Experience with menopause management.
- Proficiency with Zoom, Google Workspace, and Slack.
