Lead hospital medicine advanced provider care for hospitalized patients in a semi-open ICU setting, with no ventilator management required and 24-hour intensivist backup. The role also supports team operations, onboarding, education, and performance feedback for advanced providers across the site. Key Responsibilities
- Provide hospital medicine coverage for adult inpatients in coordination with the full care team.
- Support advanced provider onboarding, orientation, and ongoing clinical education.
- Review advanced provider cases with the Medical Director and offer feedback and guidance.
- Coordinate monthly scheduling and timecard administration for advanced providers.
- Participate in site management activities, communication, and culture-building efforts.
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing, retention strategies, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Use clinical documentation systems, including paper charts and electronic medical records, to support accurate patient care.
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Bachelor’s degree in the sciences, healthcare, or equivalent.
- Current state licensure and national certification in the relevant specialty.
- Federal DEA registration, if applicable, and any additional state prescriptive authority requirements.
- Active, unrestricted license to practice in the applicable state.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a family practice office, ambulatory care center, or emergency department.
- Interest in working in an academic setting with current residents.
