Provide part-time psychiatric supervision and consultation in an integrated behavioral health setting, with a primary focus on mentoring licensed PMHNPs, reviewing complex cases, and supporting measurement-based medication management. The role also includes direct follow-up care for higher-acuity patients, including psychotherapy when clinically appropriate. Physicians help shape clinical workflows, protocols, and collaborative care processes alongside therapists, care coordinators, and clinical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of licensed psychiatric nurse practitioners.
- Review documentation, treatment plans, and clinical compliance for supervised cases.
- Provide consultation and second opinions for higher-complexity psychiatric patients.
- Manage medications and prescribe responsibly in alignment with measurement-based care.
- Conduct follow-up assessments and provide psychotherapy when clinically indicated.
- Support APPs with clinical escalations, crises, and collaborative practice requirements.
- Collaborate on the design and improvement of tools, workflows, treatment guidelines, and care models.
- Participate in case reviews, interdisciplinary discussions, and operational planning.
Required
- MD or DO with board certification in psychiatry.
- Active, unrestricted federal DEA registration.
- Eligibility for or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, or an active license in a priority state listed in the posting.
- Experience supervising and mentoring advanced practice providers.
- Familiarity with collaborative practice agreements and supervision regulations.
Preferred
- Additional state licensure or willingness to obtain additional licenses.
- Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and virtual care delivery.
