This part-time psychiatric nurse practitioner role provides remote assessments, follow-up visits, and medication management for clients receiving outpatient mental health care. The clinician also integrates brief psychotherapy when appropriate and supports treatment planning for a range of psychiatric needs. Care is delivered in a collaborative, measurement-based model with input from physicians, therapists, crisis support, and clinical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct remote 60-minute psychiatric assessments and 30-minute follow-up visits.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with state and federal requirements.
- Integrate brief psychotherapy when clinically appropriate to support client goals.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinical leadership, therapists, and other providers on shared care plans.
- Use measurement-based care and data-informed tools to tailor treatment and track outcomes.
- Participate in clinical consultation, escalation, and ongoing workflow refinement.
- Provide care within a coordinated telepsychiatry and crisis-support model.
Required
- Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Licensed to practice as a PMHNP in California.
- Active DEA license in California.
- At least 2 years of experience providing mental health services as a PMHNP.
- Experience delivering remote telepsychiatry services.
- Ability to start in October 2026.
