Provide flexible per diem primary care and women’s health visits for adult patients, including preventive care, contraception, STI care, pregnancy confirmation, cervical cancer screening follow-up, and evaluation of common acute and chronic concerns. The role also includes same-day women’s health visits, basic dermatologic procedures within scope, and support for virtual care or inbox coverage as needed. Clinicians work across onsite clinics with a multidisciplinary team in a coordinated, tech-enabled care model.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care and women’s health visits, including annual exams, screenings, contraception counseling, STI evaluation and treatment, and pregnancy confirmation
- Evaluate and manage acute and chronic outpatient conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, respiratory concerns, digestive symptoms, sleep concerns, anxiety, and depression
- Assess same-day gynecologic, urinary, pelvic, vulvar, vaginal, and reproductive health concerns
- Perform IUD insertions and basic dermatologic procedures within training, licensure, and clinic scope
- Review results, develop care plans, communicate next steps, and coordinate follow-up
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, mental health clinicians, and clinic operations
- Support virtual care, inbox coverage, or other clinical priorities during non-patient time on an accepted shift
- Follow clinic workflows, documentation expectations, and patient experience standards
Required
- Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Active, unrestricted California NP or PA license
- Active DEA registration where required for practice
- At least three years of independent outpatient primary care experience
- Strong experience with primary care and routine women’s health services
- Ability to provide at least one day of general availability each week and report onsite within the required timeframe for accepted same-day shifts
Preferred
- Experience performing Nexplanon insertions or colposcopies
- Experience with trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ inclusive, and gender-affirming care
- Experience with behavioral health integration
- Experience in weight management, menopause care, or advanced dermatology
- Experience working in interdisciplinary or non-traditional care models
