Provide virtual adult and family medicine care through scheduled and unscheduled video visits, telephone visits, e-visits, chat, and secure messaging. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based primary care for adult patients in a fast-paced remote setting, with flexible shifts across weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The position also emphasizes strong documentation, coding, and communication skills, along with collaboration across multiple messaging and workflow tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual primary care visits across video, telephone, e-visits, chat, and secure messaging.
- Provide evidence-based care for adult and family medicine patients in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the EMR, including coding.
- Communicate clearly with patients and colleagues across phone, text, secure messaging, chat, and team platforms.
- Coordinate care while managing competing priorities and changing workflows.
- Contribute to organizational quality goals and population health efforts.
- Use multiple communication and technology tools and adapt to new workflows as needed.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certified or board eligible by an American Specialty Board.
- Active California medical license and residence in California.
- At least 5 years of post-residency experience.
- Ability to obtain additional state licenses if required.
Preferred
- Experience with virtual care or telemedicine workflows.
- Strong documentation and coding skills in an EMR.
- Comfort with flexible scheduling, including shift work and 24/7 availability.
- Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary or team-based environment.
