This part-time, contract psychiatric nurse practitioner role focuses on telepsychiatry for adults and established patients needing psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management. Care is delivered through video visits on a digital platform, with initial diagnostic interviews and follow-up E/M sessions. The role is remote and schedule-flexible, with administrative, billing, and marketing tasks handled by the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial psychiatric diagnosis interviews for new patient referrals.
- Provide evaluation and management follow-up visits for established patients.
- Use the platform to complete video visits, clinical documentation, and treatment plans.
- Coordinate with the psychiatry team as needed.
- Treat patients within the state(s) of licensure.
Required
- Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in New Jersey.
- At least 2 years of prescribing experience.
- Active DEA registration and individual NPI number.
- Completed and signed CAQH application.
- Collaborating or supervising physician agreement, or willingness to obtain one.
- Independent liability insurance with at least $1 million occurrence/$3 million aggregate coverage.
Preferred
- Prior experience providing telehealth or virtual psychiatric care.
- Experience working independently in a contract or private-practice model.
