Provide virtual psychiatric care for adults through initial diagnostic evaluations and follow-up medication management visits, working with a diverse patient base that needs improved access to mental health services. Use a telehealth platform to complete video sessions, clinical documentation, and treatment planning, with coordination from the psychiatry team as needed. The role is part-time and contract-based, with scheduling flexibility and practice support handled by the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial psychiatric diagnostic interview examinations for new patient referrals.
- Provide evaluation and management follow-up visits for established patients.
- Use the telehealth platform to deliver video visits with patients.
- Submit clinical documentation and manage patient treatment plans.
- Coordinate with the psychiatry team as needed.
- Treat patients in the state(s) of licensure.
Required
- Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in Illinois.
- Active DEA registration and individual NPI number.
- Completed and signed CAQH application.
- Collaborating or supervising physician agreement, or willingness to obtain one.
- Reliable internet connection.
- Independent liability insurance with minimum coverage of $1 million occurrence / $3 million aggregate.
Preferred
- Prior experience providing telehealth psychiatric care.
- Experience working in a private-practice-style, self-scheduled model.
