The physician mainly provides synchronous telehealth urgent care for adults with common acute issues such as minor injuries, respiratory infections, skin conditions, gastrointestinal complaints, and allergies. In addition to direct patient visits, the role includes supervising Nurse Practitioners through chart review and virtual collaboration. The practice is fully remote, uses scheduled and on-demand video and phone care, and emphasizes evidence-based, patient-centered treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and on-demand video and phone visits for urgent care concerns.
- Provide asynchronous communication with patients as part of the telehealth workflow.
- Diagnose and treat common acute conditions, including minor injuries, respiratory infections, skin conditions, gastrointestinal issues, and allergies.
- Supervise at least 5 Nurse Practitioners through quarterly chart review and virtual check-ins as needed.
- Coordinate care with a diverse patient population using inclusive, evidence-based practices.
- Use telemedicine tools and maintain clear, professional communication in a virtual setting.
Required
- MD or DO in good standing.
- Active medical licensure in 5 states, including California and at least 3 of the following: PA, AL, GA, IN, MO, MS, SC, or TN.
- Board certified.
- Valid DEA certification.
- At least 2 years of independent post-graduate practice.
- Ability to supervise at least 5 Nurse Practitioners.
