The physician provides clinical oversight and guidance to a virtual Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on telemedicine care, medical record review, and adherence to state and federal requirements. The work centers on supporting patient care quality through monthly check-ins, case review, and quality improvement activities. This is a collaborative, tech-enabled role that emphasizes compliance, mentorship, and use of remote patient monitoring and EMR tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical guidance and monthly 1:1 support to a virtual Nurse Practitioner.
- Review medical records as required by state regulations and company policies.
- Participate in case reviews, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure clinical practice follows evidence-based telemedicine guidelines and protocols.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal telemedicine regulations.
- Support patient care through collaboration, mentorship, and problem-solving.
- Use electronic medical records and remote patient monitoring tools in daily workflows.
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in California.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience.
- Experience with telemedicine and remote patient monitoring tools.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Prior experience in a supervisory or collaborative role.
