The clinician provides remote clinical oversight and guidance for a virtual Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on telemedicine-based patient care and adherence to clinical protocols. Day-to-day work includes record review, case discussion, and supporting quality and compliance efforts for home-based and on-demand services. The role is physician-led and collaborative, with responsibility for maintaining standards across virtual care workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical guidance and monthly 1:1 support to a virtual Nurse Practitioner.
- Review medical records as required by state regulations and internal policies.
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based telemedicine guidelines and care protocols.
- Participate in case reviews, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor compliance with state and federal regulations related to telemedicine.
- Support clinical decision-making and patient care oversight in a collaborative model.
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in California.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience.
- Experience with telemedicine and remote patient monitoring tools.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Preferred
- Prior experience in a supervisory or collaborative physician role.
