This role provides real-time clinical support for an on-demand mobile care team, handling clinical escalations, abnormal lab results, and patient safety events. The work is centered on operational oversight, quality improvement, and workflow development for a distributed clinical service that delivers low-acuity care in patients’ homes. It also involves close partnership with operations, quality, and product teams to improve service reliability, safety, and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational oversight for clinical escalations, patient safety concerns, and abnormal or critical laboratory result workflows.
- Support Sprinters and the clinical team with complex clinical questions and timely clinical guidance.
- Manage staffing, workload distribution, and daily operations for Clinical RNs.
- Lead patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
- Investigate patient safety events and participate in root cause analyses and corrective action planning.
- Own monthly operational KPIs, dashboards, and service level metrics.
- Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies, SOPs, workflows, and standardized guidance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve patient experience, operational efficiency, and workflow adoption.
Required
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience.
- Experience managing clinical escalations, abnormal laboratory result workflows, and patient safety events.
- Experience leading remote initiatives.
- Demonstrated project management and process improvement experience.
- Experience developing clinical policies, procedures, and workflows.
Preferred
- Compact RN license.
- Experience leading a remote clinical support, nurse triage, telehealth, or centralized call center team.
- Experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Experience managing monthly KPIs, dashboards, and operational reporting.
- Experience partnering with Patient Operations, Clinical Operations, Product, Engineering, and Quality teams.
- Experience using Slack and other virtual collaboration tools.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth healthcare environment.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement experience.
