This role focuses on RN-led clinical education and onboarding for clinicians who provide care in the home, with primary support for phlebotomists and nurse practitioners. The specialist helps prepare new hires for safe, high-quality practice by coordinating training, competencies, and learning materials across clinical and operational teams. It is primarily remote with frequent travel to an Atlanta-based training facility for onboarding events, skills labs, and other learning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain training materials, job aids, competency checklists, workflows, and reference guides.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, schedules, training assignments, and learner communications for new clinicians.
- Administer learning assignments and records in the learning management system.
- Track required training, competencies, certifications, and compliance completion.
- Support virtual and in-person onboarding sessions, skills labs, and training events.
- Generate reports on training participation, onboarding progress, and competency compliance.
- Partner with clinical operations, quality, credentialing, compliance, and people teams to support clinician readiness.
- Assist with audits, documentation reviews, and process improvement efforts related to training operations.
Required
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in precepting, training, onboarding support, charge nursing, or education.
- Experience creating educational materials, competency assessments, or job aids.
- Ability to travel frequently to the Atlanta-based training facility.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and virtual collaboration tools.
Preferred
- Experience in home health, primary care, population health, ambulatory care, or care management.
- Experience with learning management systems, especially Docebo.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and competency-based education.
- Experience supporting onboarding or training programs in a healthcare setting.
- Residence in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
