The clinician provides psychiatric care for patients through office-based, telemedicine, or hybrid visits, using evidence-based and personalized treatment approaches. This role is designed for experienced PMHNPs who want to build and manage their own caseload with strong practice support. Clinical autonomy is maintained while the practice handles credentialing, billing, scheduling support, and other operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for a growing patient caseload.
- Provide evidence-based medication management and individualized treatment planning.
- Use telehealth, office-based, or hybrid workflows to deliver care.
- Coordinate with clinical leadership through weekly office hours and peer consultation.
- Document sessions using AI-supported notes, treatment plans, and visit summaries.
- Participate in patient matching and practice growth efforts to build the caseload.
- Manage treatment decisions independently within the practice model.
Required
- Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in South Dakota and residing in the state.
- At least two years of PMHNP clinical and prescribing experience.
- Experience providing psychiatric care as an advanced practice clinician.
Preferred
- Experience working in telemedicine or hybrid behavioral health settings.
- Interest in building a long-term, part-time contract psychiatric practice.
