This role focuses on outpatient psychiatric care for patients seen through office-based, telemedicine, or hybrid visits, with the clinician managing evidence-based assessment and treatment planning. It is designed for experienced PMHNPs who want to build a sustainable caseload while maintaining clinical autonomy.
Beyond direct patient care, the role includes using supported tools and workflows to help with scheduling, documentation, billing, and client matching. The practice model emphasizes collaboration with clinical leadership, weekly office hours, and peer consultation, while the clinician retains control over treatment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for outpatient patients.
- Provide office-based, telemedicine, or hybrid visits based on practice needs and patient preference.
- Develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans under clinical leadership guidance.
- Use AI-supported notes, treatment plans, and session summaries to streamline documentation.
- Coordinate with clinicians and support staff on credentialing, billing, scheduling, and patient communication.
- Participate in weekly office hours and peer consultation opportunities.
- Build and manage a caseload through thoughtful client matching and practice growth support.
Required
- Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in North Dakota.
- Must reside in North Dakota.
- At least 2 years of PMHNP clinical and prescribing experience.
- Experience providing psychiatric care in a clinical setting.
Preferred
- Experience with telemedicine or hybrid psychiatric practice.
- Experience working independently with clinical support resources.
- Experience using digital tools for documentation and patient communication.
