This physician role provides medical director oversight for an aesthetic and wellness practice focused on cosmetic injectables, skin health, facial balancing, regenerative treatments, and hormone optimization. The work centers on protocol review, patient safety, compliance, and consultation support rather than direct procedural care, with a mix of remote oversight and periodic onsite participation. It is suited to an actively practicing, semi-retired, or flexible physician who can support a compliant, patient-centered aesthetic medicine model.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical director oversight in accordance with Florida laws and regulations.
- Review and approve clinical protocols, standing orders, and treatment guidelines.
- Support oversight of aesthetic and wellness services within provider scope of practice.
- Participate in chart audits and documentation review.
- Provide consultation and clinical escalation support when needed.
- Assist with patient safety, informed consent, and risk management processes.
- Guide complication management, referral pathways, and escalation procedures.
- Participate in periodic meetings, site visits, and compliance reviews.
Required
- Active, unrestricted Florida MD or DO license.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Plastic Surgery or Dermatology.
- Experience or comfort working in an aesthetic medicine environment.
- Ability to provide documented medical director oversight services.
- Strong understanding of patient safety, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to maintain or verify appropriate malpractice coverage for medical director activities.
Preferred
- Prior medical director experience.
- Experience supervising advanced practice providers.
- Familiarity with regenerative aesthetics and wellness-based treatment models.
- Experience in med spa, dermatology, plastic surgery, or cosmetic medicine settings.
- Interest in supporting the growth of a modern aesthetic and wellness practice.
