Provide virtual inpatient neurology consultations for hospitalized patients, supporting timely neurohospitalist coverage and clinical decision-making. The work centers on hospital-based neurology care through telemedicine, with flexibility to cover day or night 12-hour shifts. The role uses a technology-enabled, physician-first model and may expand into greater involvement over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inpatient neurology consultations via telemedicine for hospital partners.
- Provide expert assessment and management support for acute neurologic conditions in the hospital setting.
- Use HIPAA-compliant audio/video tools, EMRs, and PACS to evaluate patients and review studies.
- Coordinate with hospital teams to support timely neurologic care and clinical decisions.
- Participate in a collaborative, physician-first care model focused on access and patient outcomes.
Required
- Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.
- Prior hospital-based neurology experience.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, or ability to obtain one.
- Comfort with HIPAA-compliant audio/video technology, EMRs, and PACS.
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.
Preferred
- Inpatient neurology or neurohospitalist experience.
- Prior teleneurology experience.
