Provide remote mental health assessments for clients seeking emotional support animal evaluations and determine whether an ESA letter is clinically appropriate. The role includes timely phone or virtual consultations, documentation, and follow-up support for approved clients. This is a flexible part-time position in a remote-first, telehealth setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments for clients seeking emotional support animal evaluations.
- Determine whether a client’s condition warrants an emotional support animal recommendation.
- Provide phone or virtual consultations with clients.
- Respond to inbound client emails within 24 hours.
- Schedule consultations within three business days.
- Prescribe and write emotional support animal letters for approved clients within 48 hours.
- Coordinate follow-up support and documentation as needed.
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Active Colorado medical license.
- Experience with phone and/or virtual consultations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort working in a technology-enabled remote environment.
Preferred
- Experience prescribing emotional support animal letters and understanding associated regulations.
