This part-time physician role focuses on functional medicine visits for adults with chronic conditions, using advanced testing to identify root causes and support personalized care plans. Patient care is provided virtually and in person, with at least two days per week on-site in a New York center and time reserved for additional patient communication. The role also includes collaboration with health coaches and care teams, as well as occasional work on outcomes research or technology improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct functional medicine visits virtually and/or in person
- Use advanced testing to assess root causes of chronic illness
- Partner with health coaches and care teams to support patient outcomes
- Build ongoing relationships with patients over time
- Document care in a proprietary EMR
- Participate in patient communication beyond scheduled visits
- Collaborate on health outcomes research and technology platform improvements
Required
- Active MD or DO license
- Active New York medical license
- Board certification in internal medicine, family medicine, or another primary care field
- 3+ years of primary care experience in telemedicine or in-person settings
- Experience as an MD or DO trained in or practicing primary care
Preferred
- 2+ years of functional medicine experience
- Formal functional medicine training, such as IFM
- DEA license
- Experience with MacBook, Google Suite, Slack, and Zoom
- Additional licenses in states such as CA, TX, MA, NJ, IL, PA, VA, NC, CO, GA, AZ, WA, and/or CT

- Starting salary range of $80,000-$183,333, depending on skills and experience
