This part-time RN role focuses on home infusion care for patients receiving therapy outside the hospital. The clinician coordinates infusion visits and related nursing support in the home setting, with day-to-day work centered on safe administration, monitoring, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide home infusion nursing care for patients in their residences.
- Conduct patient assessments before, during, and after infusion therapy.
- Administer prescribed IV medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and caregivers on infusion plans, safety, and home care instructions.
- Coordinate with the care team and prescribers regarding treatment plans and patient status.
- Document visit findings, interventions, and patient responses according to nursing standards.
Required
- Current RN license.
- Experience in nursing care, preferably in infusion or a related clinical setting.
- Ability to provide care in a home-based setting.
Preferred
- Prior home infusion experience.
- Experience with IV therapy and medication administration.
