In this part-time role, the physician serves as a collaborating physician for mid-level providers caring for patients with opioid use disorder through a telehealth-based medication treatment model. Day-to-day work is primarily administrative, with chart review, supervisory documentation, and occasional clinical touchpoints to support quality and compliance. The role also includes participation in team meetings and coordination with the internal clinical management team across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute supervisory relationship documentation according to state requirements.
- Maintain licensure and controlled-substance registrations in states with supervisory relationships.
- Conduct quarterly chart reviews, or monthly reviews where required by state law.
- Meet legal requirements for individual state supervisory relationships.
- Participate in Ophelia team meetings, grand rounds, and clinician pod meetings as needed.
- Coordinate with the clinical management team on chart reviews, documentation issues, and best practices.
Required
- MD license in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey.
- Ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.
- Experience in addiction medicine or MOUD.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Addiction Medicine.
Preferred
- Prior experience supporting mid-level clinicians in a supervisory or collaborating physician role.
- Experience working in telehealth or virtual addiction treatment settings.
- Familiarity with multi-state practice requirements.
