Provide telemedicine functional medicine consults for adults, with a focus on reviewing health histories, lab work, and designing personalized hormone replacement therapy plans. Care also includes evaluating medical weight loss and other treatment options, with an emphasis on patient education and individualized decision-making. The role is fully virtual and requires comfort using HIPAA-compliant video visits and evolving telehealth tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial telehealth consultations to assess patient needs and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Review patient intake forms and lab work to identify potential care plans.
- Determine whether HRT, medical weight loss, or other therapies are appropriate for each patient.
- Update patient charts and maintain comprehensive documentation and messaging.
- Communicate effectively with patients and other providers throughout the care process.
- Follow clinical protocols and deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Use telemedicine technology and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Provide patient education at each visit and offer feedback on care quality and operations.
Required
- MD or DO from a US-accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
- At least 3 years of experience practicing as a physician.
- Active DEA registration.
- Active medical licensure in at least 2 of the listed states.
- Experience with hormone replacement therapy and individualized treatment planning.
- Experience with healing peptides.
- No history of malpractice.
Preferred
- Functional medicine experience or certification.
- Prior telemedicine or virtual care experience.
- Strong comfort with technology and home-based troubleshooting.
