We are searching for a physician with expertise in Transthyretin Amyloid Cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) to provide expert clinical and epidemiological guidance for a real-world data research initiative. This is a part-time, remote advisory role focused on shaping research around the longitudinal patient journey, diagnostic timelines, and post-diagnosis treatment patterns and outcomes.
What You'll Do
Protocol & Study Design Review: Review and refine the study protocol developed by the epidemiology team to ensure accurate capture of disease trajectory, early risk indicators, and temporal relationships prior to ATTR-CM diagnosis.
EHR Data Guidance: Advise on the curation and analysis of real-world Electronic Health Record (EHR) datasets, providing insight into clinical documentation practices, diagnostic pathways, and antecedent conditions (e.g., carpal tunnel syndrome, spinal stenosis, polyneuropathy, atrial fibrillation).
Treatment Pattern Analysis: Help interpret complex treatment dynamics, including real-world treatment sequencing, initiation timelines, rates of discontinuation, switching behavior, and combination therapy usage.
Expert Context & Interpretation: Provide clinical context for study findings, assisting the research and epidemiology teams in understanding the underlying drivers of treatment changes or diagnostic delays.
Ideal Candidate
Currently practicing physician in Cardiology or Nuclear Cardiology with extensive clinical experience managing and diagnosing ATTR-CM patients.
Strong research background with an academic appointment preferred.
Track record of peer-reviewed publications or active involvement in clinical studies within the amyloidosis or heart failure space.
Experience engaging with real-world evidence (RWE) or observational health data is a plus.
