Provide outpatient psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults via in-office visits or telepsychiatry, with the option to work fully remotely from a home office. The role centers on evaluation, treatment, documentation, and medication management in a multidisciplinary behavioral health practice. Clinicians may also participate in supervision, case consultation, and training related to emerging therapies such as ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for clients in outpatient settings.
- Provide care in person or via telepsychiatry across California.
- Complete clinical notes and records requests within required timeframes.
- Coordinate with psychiatrists, psychiatric NPs, therapists, psychologists, and social workers in a multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in clinical case management meetings, supervision, and ongoing training.
- Provide monthly supervision to nurse practitioners and respond to clinical consultation questions, if serving in a supervisor role.
- Use support services for scheduling, billing, marketing, and new patient intake so clinical time can remain focused on patient care.
- Support evaluation and prescription workflows related to ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and other behavioral health services.
Required
- MD or DO with active California medical licensure in psychiatry.
- Training or board eligibility/certification in Psychiatry.
- Ability to provide psychiatric care in an outpatient setting.
Preferred
- Experience with child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Experience with addiction medicine, including suboxone or Vivitrol.
- Spanish-language ability.
- Experience supervising nurse practitioners or providing clinical consultation.
- Interest in or familiarity with telepsychiatry and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
