Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical reviews and support behavioral health utilization management for pediatric and adolescent patients.
- Provide medical oversight for psychiatric treatment decisions, care coordination, and level-of-care guidance.
- Collaborate with care managers, behavioral health clinicians, and other internal teams on case management.
- Use clinical guidelines and evidence-based standards to inform authorization and care planning.
- Participate in quality and utilization review activities related to behavioral health services.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification or board eligibility in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Active, unrestricted medical licensure.
- Relevant experience in behavioral health and psychiatric care.
Preferred
- Experience in medical director, utilization management, or managed-care roles.
- Experience working with pediatric and adolescent behavioral health populations.
