Provide virtual clinical oversight for complex perimenopause and menopause cases in midlife women, including escalated patient visits and DEA-required encounters. This role also supports time-sensitive lab review, clinical inbox management, and escalation responses for a clinician team operating in a telehealth setting. The physician helps refine clinical guidelines, safety processes, and quality initiatives while serving as a subject matter expert in women’s midlife health.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary clinical authority for real-time clinician questions and escalations.
- Support direct patient care for escalated visits and DEA-required encounters.
- Review and manage time-sensitive patient cases, laboratory results, and clinical inbox items.
- Identify clinical patterns, risks, and opportunities for improvement and share insights with leadership.
- Participate in Doc of the Day coverage.
- Partner with the Medical Director to refine and uphold clinical guidelines, protocols, and best practices.
- Contribute to clinical quality, education, and safety initiatives.
- Fulfill state-required collaborating physician duties in designated states.
Required
- Board-certified MD or DO.
- At least 5 years of advanced, specialized experience in perimenopause and menopause care.
- At least 5 years of direct patient care within the past 5 years.
- Active clinical practice.
- Ability to obtain and maintain active, unrestricted licensure in all 50 states.
- Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship needs.
Preferred
- Experience with cancer survivorship care, especially hormone management and long-term risk assessment.
- At least 2 years of telehealth experience managing complex cases and clinician escalations.
- Experience managing complex midlife women’s health cases with multiple comorbidities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clinician guidance and support.
