Conduct telehealth psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adults with common outpatient mental health conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and mild-to-moderate OCD. The role also includes treatment planning, prescribing controlled substances when appropriate, and documentation in an integrated EMR. In addition, the psychiatrist may provide clinical collaboration and supervision for PMHNPs in states where that is permitted.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth.
- Diagnose and treat adult patients with ADHD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, OCD, and other outpatient psychiatric conditions.
- Provide individualized treatment plans and medication management.
- Prescribe medications, including Schedule II-V controlled substances, in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and complete chart notes and prescriptions within required timeframes.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and operations teams to support patient care quality.
- Provide clinical oversight as a collaborating or supervising physician for PMHNPs where permitted.
Required
- Board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist (MD or DO).
- Active, unrestricted medical licenses in multiple U.S. states.
- Eligible to serve as a collaborating/supervising physician for PMHNPs in applicable states.
- Active DEA registration with Schedule II prescribing authority.
- At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in outpatient psychiatry.
- Ability to commit approximately 15+ hours per week.
Preferred
- Experience treating adult patients via telehealth.
- Experience prescribing controlled substances.
- Comfort managing common outpatient psychiatric conditions.
- Licensure in priority states.
