This role centers on telepsychiatry collaboration and supervision for outpatient mental health care, supporting children, adolescents, and adults. The physician reviews charts, answers clinical questions and escalations, and provides oversight for nurse practitioners in a remote setting. It also includes case review, prescription consultation, and mentorship within a structured collaborative practice model.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct chart reviews and respond to clinical questions and escalations in a timely manner.
- Provide collaborating physician oversight for NP-led care under collaborative practice agreements.
- Participate in tele-meetings, case reviews, and prescription consultations.
- Guide and mentor clinicians under supervision and provide constructive performance feedback.
- Support general clinical matters within an outpatient psychiatry workflow.
- Coordinate with provider teams through scheduled teleconference check-ins.
Required
- Hold an active California medical license.
- Be board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry.
- Have at least 1 year of experience as a psychiatrist.
- Have experience with adult and/or child and adolescent populations.
- Have experience with medication management and psychotherapy.
- Hold a valid DEA certification.
Preferred
- Have 2 years of experience in mental health.
- Have clinical and administrative supervisory experience.
- Have experience in telehealth or telemedicine.
