Provide medical and scientific leadership for early-stage neurology clinical development programs, with a focus on Phase I and Phase II studies, protocol strategy, and first-in-human or proof-of-concept trial design. This role also contributes to broader asset development, scientific decision-making, and limited medical monitoring support as needed. The work is fully remote, part-time, and consultative, with close collaboration across clinical research, translational medicine, regulatory, biostatistics, and clinical operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical and scientific leadership for early-stage clinical development programs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and optimize Phase I and Phase II studies.
- Contribute to clinical development plans, protocol strategy, and asset development.
- Provide scientific guidance on clinical, regulatory, and development decisions.
- Apply neurology expertise across multiple research programs as needed.
- Collaborate with Clinical Research, Translational Medicine, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, and Clinical Operations teams.
- Support limited medical monitoring activities when needed.
Required
- MD or DO, or equivalent international medical degree.
- Board certification or equivalent.
- Significant industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research settings.
- Experience supporting early-stage clinical development, including Phase I and/or Phase II studies.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, clinical development strategy, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Neurology specialty expertise.
- Experience leading or supporting clinical development strategy for innovative therapeutics.
- Experience designing first-in-human or proof-of-concept studies.
- Prior consulting experience or success in project-based work environments.
- Broad scientific knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas.
