Provide virtual psychiatric evaluations, biopsychosocial intakes, and medication management for college students with common mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and substance use disorders. This role focuses on culturally responsive, whole-person care for young adults in a fully remote setting with flexible scheduling. You also collaborate with campus providers, supervisors, and care navigation staff to support care coordination and longer-term treatment planning when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual psychiatric evaluations and medication management visits.
- Conduct biopsychosocial intakes and complete diagnostic assessments.
- Engage with patients through the collaboration portal.
- Collaborate with supervisors, peers, and on-campus treatment providers.
- Document clinical encounters to support care coordination.
- Partner with the care navigation team to support students.
- Coordinate with campus care teams on longer-term treatment plans when needed.
Required
- Hold a valid Wisconsin Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license.
- Have at least 1 year of experience in an outpatient community mental health setting.
- Have experience treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, or substance use disorders in college-aged patients.
- Have a quality video camera and stable internet connection for virtual care.
Preferred
- Have multi-state licensure.
- Have experience working with diverse patient groups and using culturally responsive treatment.
- Be comfortable assessing and escalating urgent risk scenarios.
- Have weekend and evening availability.
