This role centers on telepsychiatry for college students, with direct psychiatric visits and medication management for young adults experiencing a range of mental health conditions. The psychiatrist also serves as a collaborating physician for Tennessee-licensed PMHNPs, supporting chart review, documentation quality, and clinical oversight. Work is fully remote and includes regular collaboration with a multidisciplinary psychiatry team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct telepsychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for college students.
- Provide medication management follow-up visits and psychiatric intake evaluations.
- Serve as collaborating physician for Tennessee-licensed PMHNPs.
- Complete monthly chart reviews and patient chart audits to support compliance.
- Evaluate documentation, treatment plans, prescribing practices, and clinical interventions.
- Participate in monthly collaboration meetings with psychiatrists and PMHNPs.
- Host in-person supervision meetings with the Tennessee PMHNP team twice yearly.
- Work with the Director of Psychiatry on workflows, policies, and regulatory compliance.
Required
- Board-certified psychiatrist with an MD or DO degree.
- Active, unrestricted Tennessee medical license.
- Ability to provide direct psychiatric care in MA, NY, FL, and PA.
- Availability for 2-4 hours of clinical work per week.
- Willingness to meet state-specific collaborating physician requirements.
Preferred
- Multiple state medical licenses.
