The Supervising MD leads psychiatric care for women, with a focus on women’s mental health and patient-centered treatment. This role combines clinical oversight with team leadership, including supervision of psychiatric nurse practitioners and collaboration on integrated mental health care. The physician also helps develop programs and supports interdisciplinary case review and ongoing staff training.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical care and maintain standards of psychiatric practice and ethics.
- Provide direct mental health services and lead by example in clinical care.
- Supervise and mentor psychiatric nurse practitioners and other mental health clinicians.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement mental health programs for women.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Work with therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to support integrated care.
- Facilitate training and professional development for clinical staff.
Required
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Psychiatry.
- Valid state medical license.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Preferred
- Additional certification or significant experience in women’s mental health.
- Demonstrated commitment to women’s mental health and patient-centered care.
