Provide virtual physician care for patients seeking evidence-based weight management and metabolic health treatment. The role centers on reviewing intake information, medical histories, and lab results, then determining medical necessity and prescribing treatment when appropriate. Ongoing follow-up, clinical oversight, and coordination within a compliance-focused telehealth workflow are also part of the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct synchronous and asynchronous virtual consultations.
- Evaluate patient medical histories, intake forms, and relevant diagnostic data.
- Prescribe treatment in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
- Document clinical encounters accurately in the EMR.
- Maintain compliance with telehealth, prescribing, and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with care coordination teams to support patient outcomes.
- Participate as an active clinical member of the physician group.
Required
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Active licensure in 30+ U.S. states.
- Eligibility and compliance to practice telemedicine in licensed states.
- Active DEA registration.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based weight management and metabolic health.
Preferred
- Prior telehealth experience.
- Experience treating obesity, metabolic syndrome, or GLP-1–based therapies.
- Comfort working within structured, compliance-forward telehealth workflows.
