This physician role leads the clinical strategy and medical governance for peptide-based treatment programs, with a focus on metabolic health, longevity, regenerative medicine, and other emerging therapeutic areas. The work centers on building and refining evidence-based protocols, supervising prescribing practices, and supporting safe, scalable telehealth care. It is a remote-first leadership position that partners closely with clinical, product, regulatory, and executive teams in a fast-moving startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior clinical authority for peptide therapeutics programs, with oversight of patient safety and clinical quality.
- Develop and refine evidence-based clinical protocols for peptide therapies across multiple therapeutic areas.
- Evaluate emerging scientific literature, clinical studies, and real-world evidence to guide treatment decisions.
- Lead the introduction of new peptide therapies and support expansion into additional service lines.
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and supervise physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
- Ensure compliance with telehealth, prescribing, pharmacy, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Product and Technology teams to embed clinical safety measures and decision-support tools into the platform.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, adverse events, and quality metrics and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Review patient education materials, provider training resources, and scientific communications.
- Advise leadership on clinical strategy, emerging opportunities, and the peptide therapeutics landscape.
Required
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Obesity Medicine, or another relevant specialty.
- At least 7 years of clinical experience, including significant experience with peptide-based therapies and physician leadership.
- Experience prescribing and managing peptide therapeutics across metabolic, regenerative, longevity, or related protocols.
- Experience evaluating clinical research and translating evidence into protocols and best practices.
- Experience in a Medical Director or other physician leadership role.
- Experience supervising physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, or distributed clinical teams.
- Strong understanding of telehealth regulations, prescribing compliance, clinical governance, and healthcare quality standards.
Preferred
- Multi-state medical licensure.
- Experience with clinical research and the evolving regulatory landscape around peptide therapeutics.
- Experience in a telehealth platform, specialty practice, or innovative care model.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment.
