Provide physician supervision and clinical oversight for nurse practitioners delivering ambulatory infusion services, with a focus on quality, safety, and compliance. The work is primarily virtual and centered on reviewing clinical cases, offering consultation, and supporting protocol-driven care across the state. This is a low-hour contract role that includes collaboration with clinical leadership on quality improvement, documentation, and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physician supervision for nurse practitioners in accordance with Georgia state regulations.
- Conduct quarterly virtual meetings to review clinical cases and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Perform periodic chart reviews and quality assurance checks.
- Be available for as-needed clinical consultation.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership on quality improvement initiatives.
- Support protocol development and updates.
- Maintain documentation of supervisory activities as required by the state.
- Support compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
Required
- Active Georgia MD license.
- Active DEA license.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty.
- Ability to provide physician supervision for nurse practitioners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Board certification in Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, or Neurology.
- Experience collaborating with advanced practice providers in infusion or ambulatory care settings.
