Provide high-level hospice and palliative medicine consulting by reviewing AI-generated clinical reasoning, especially for complex end-of-life cases, symptom burden assessment, and goals-of-care. This remote role focuses on validating, refining, and auditing diagnostic and treatment strategies to help improve the safety and accuracy of medical AI. Clinicians also advise on the development of AI-driven decision support tools and provide concise technical feedback on challenging cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated diagnostic and treatment plans for alignment with hospice and palliative care standards.
- Validate complex case presentations involving symptom burden, end-of-life care, and goals-of-care discussions.
- Identify clinical inaccuracies, unsafe recommendations, or hallucinations in AI outputs.
- Advise on the design and refinement of AI-driven clinical decision support tools.
- Provide concise, technical feedback to improve clinical reasoning and case quality.
- Support safety oversight for triage and decision-making workflows.
Required
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (ABIM), or current senior resident/fellow in the field (PGY-2 or above).
- At least 2 years of postgraduate clinical training.
- Must be based in the United States.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely about complex clinical cases.
Preferred
- Experience as an attending physician in hospice and palliative medicine.
- Experience reviewing or consulting on complex end-of-life cases.
- Interest in clinical AI, decision support, or medical model evaluation.
