Teach NCLEX preparation classes to nursing students in person at multiple New Jersey-area locations, using Kaplan’s curriculum and instructional methodology. The role also includes limited virtual student support through email-based coaching, along with classroom management and ongoing learner engagement. This is a PRN travel teaching position for a master’s-prepared RN with clinical experience and strong presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach multiple in-person NCLEX preparation sessions at various locations throughout the year
- Facilitate active learning and support learner development during classes
- Maintain classroom engagement and manage the learning environment
- Learn and apply the organization’s teaching methodology and strategies
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and instructional meetings
- Provide virtual student coaching via email based on progress through Kaplan materials
Required
- Master’s-prepared nurse with MSN or BSN plus a master’s degree
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience
- Ability to travel to multiple teaching locations as needed
- Strong interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership skills
