Provide fully remote, video-based primary care for adults and families, covering preventive visits, acute concerns, chronic disease management, pediatrics, and mental health. The role includes managing a dedicated patient panel, coordinating referrals, and supporting patients after hospital discharge. Physicians work within an AI-enabled virtual care model with clinical operations and technical support designed to reduce administrative burden.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide preventive, acute, and chronic care in a fully remote virtual setting.
- Manage a dedicated primary care panel and build longitudinal patient relationships.
- Support pediatric and mental health concerns as part of broad family medicine care.
- Refer patients to specialists or higher-acuity services when clinically indicated.
- Participate in population health work, including annual wellness visits, care gap closure, transitions of care, and risk capture.
- Support patients after discharge to improve treatment understanding and reduce readmissions.
- Use clinical guidelines and best practices to guide ongoing self-evaluation and care quality.
Required
- MD or DO with board certification in Family Medicine.
- At least 3 years of post-residency work experience.
- At least 2 years of in-person primary care experience.
- Experience with virtual visits.
- Active IMLC compact license or residence in an IMLC member state.
- Prior experience using Epic EMR.
- Clean background and medical malpractice history.
- Ability to commit to 24 hours per week.
Preferred
- Spanish language skills.
- Experience managing chronic care conditions in a longitudinal primary care setting.
- Comfort managing acute conditions virtually.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume virtual care environments.
- Interest in using new technology to improve efficiency and clinical outcomes.
