This role provides remote family medicine care for patients of all ages through a 24/7 virtual platform, combining text- and video-based visits with integrated primary care, behavioral health, and acute care. The clinician also manages chronic care follow-up, patient education, and medication prescribing within an AI-enabled, tech-forward care model. In addition to clinical work, the role includes medical leadership responsibilities such as clinical operations oversight, protocol development, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, product, data science, and external health system partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote clinical care through text- and video-based visits for patients of all ages.
- Manage follow-up care for chronic care programs and co-manage patients with external partners.
- Prescribe medications and refills as appropriate.
- Develop, review, and standardize clinical policies, protocols, workflows, and practice guidelines.
- Lead clinical operations for partnership clinics, including launch planning and oversight of practicing clinicians.
- Collaborate with operations, practice management, product, regulatory, medical, marketing, and data science teams.
- Deliver training, presentations, and updates for clinical teams and leadership stakeholders.
- Support quality monitoring, patient safety planning, and clinical deliverables such as handbooks, manuals, and readiness plans.
Required
- MD or DO degree.
- Board certification in Family Medicine.
- 2-3 years of post-residency experience.
- Experience treating patients in a remote setting.
- Experience with Epic EMR.
- Ability to work clinically part-time, with clinical hours varying by need.
Preferred
- Prior leadership experience.
- Experience in telemedicine or a startup environment.
- Familiarity with digital health and AI-enabled care delivery.
- Local to the New York City area.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
