Lead the medical evaluation and clinical product development of AI tools used in primary care and related generalist workflows, serving as the clinical bridge between researchers, product teams, and external partners. The role focuses on assessing safety, accuracy, and real-world usefulness of AI outputs, then translating clinical needs into product requirements and feature ideas. It is a hands-on, cross-functional position in a tech-enabled virtual care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with AI researchers as the clinical domain expert throughout product development.
- Design and lead clinical evaluation of AI products for safety, accuracy, and clinical value.
- Serve as medical product owner alongside product managers, clinical managers, and external partners.
- Translate clinical requirements, workflow needs, and unmet care gaps into product specifications.
- Ground product and research decisions in real-world medical practice and patient safety.
- Communicate clinical nuance to technical teams and technical trade-offs to clinical and business stakeholders.
Required
- Licensed physician or equivalently qualified clinician.
- Substantial hands-on clinical experience.
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or a related generalist field.
- Strong ability to reason about clinical workflows and patient safety.
- Excellent communication skills across medical and technical audiences.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
Preferred
- Clinical experience in the US.
- Prior exposure to AI, machine learning, or digital health products.
- Experience with LLM-based product development, coding, or data analysis.
- Comfort with EMRs, especially Epic.
- Previous experience in a health tech company or product development role.
