Provide psychiatric intake evaluations and in-person monitoring for Spravato® treatment sessions, focusing on patients being screened for esketamine eligibility and monitored during dosing. The work is structured outpatient care delivered in small cohorts at partner therapist offices, with a strong emphasis on safety checks, documentation, and coordination with site operations. Psychiatry experience is preferred, and the role involves traveling to partner offices within an agreed-upon radius.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric intake evaluations and screening to determine Spravato® eligibility.
- Prescribe Spravato® and initiate documentation for insurance prior authorization.
- Provide on-site clinical support during Spravato® dosing sessions.
- Monitor patients during the observation period, including vitals, safety checks, and symptom monitoring.
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with operations staff and partner sites to support smooth patient flow.
- Support a calm, safe environment for small session cohorts.
Required
- Active NP or PA license in the state of practice.
- Current, unrestricted DEA registration.
- Willingness to associate DEA registration to partner site address(es) as needed.
- Comfort with outpatient monitoring and responding to clinical changes such as blood pressure changes, anxiety, or dissociation.
- Strong documentation skills and reliability with protocols.
- Willingness to complete required Spravato® REMS-related training.
Preferred
- Psychiatry experience.
- Experience with ketamine or esketamine workflows.
- Experience with TMS, infusion, or other monitoring-based treatment workflows.
