Provide psychiatric intake evaluations and in-person monitoring for Spravato® sessions for patients being treated for depression in a structured outpatient setting. The role includes prescribing Spravato, managing insurance prior authorization, and observing patients during dosing and the post-dose monitoring period. Clinicians work at partner therapist offices in small cohorts and coordinate closely with operations to keep sessions safe and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric intake evaluations and screening to determine Spravato eligibility
- Prescribe Spravato and initiate documentation for insurance prior authorization
- Provide on-site clinical support during Spravato dosing sessions
- Monitor patients during the observation period, including vitals, safety checks, and symptom monitoring
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time
- Coordinate with operations and partner sites to support smooth patient flow
- Support a calm, safe environment during small cohort session blocks
Required
- Active NP or PA license in the state of practice
- Current, unrestricted DEA registration
- Willingness to associate DEA registration to partner site address(es) as needed
- Comfort with outpatient monitoring and responding to clinical changes such as blood pressure changes, anxiety, or dissociation
- Strong documentation skills and reliability with protocols
- Willingness to complete required Spravato® REMS-related training
Preferred
- Psychiatry experience
- Prior experience with ketamine or esketamine workflows
- Experience with TMS, infusion, or other monitored treatment settings
