Provide psychiatric intake evaluations and on-site monitoring for Spravato® treatment sessions for patients with depression in a structured outpatient setting. The work centers on screening for eligibility, prescribing esketamine, and supporting small patient cohorts during observation periods. This part-time contractor role also involves travel to partner therapist offices and coordination with operations and site staff to keep sessions running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric intake evaluations and screening to determine Spravato® eligibility.
- Prescribe Spravato® and initiate insurance prior authorization documentation.
- Provide on-site clinical support during Spravato® dosing sessions.
- Monitor patients during observation periods, including vitals, safety checks, and symptom monitoring.
- Complete documentation accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with operations and partner sites to support patient flow.
- Support a calm, safe environment for small treatment cohorts.
Required
- Active NP or PA license in the state of practice.
- Current, unrestricted DEA registration.
- Willingness to associate DEA registration to partner site address(es) as needed.
- Comfort with outpatient monitoring and responding to clinical changes such as blood pressure changes, anxiety, or dissociation.
- Strong documentation skills and reliability with protocols.
- Willingness to complete required Spravato® REMS-related training.
Preferred
- Psychiatry experience.
- Prior experience with ketamine/esketamine, TMS, infusion, or other monitoring workflows.
