Conduct psychiatric intake evaluations for patients being considered for Spravato® treatment, then provide on-site monitoring during dosing sessions for adults receiving esketamine for depression. This role also includes prescribing support, prior authorization documentation, and careful observation for safety, vitals, and symptom changes during structured outpatient visits. Work is part-time on a 1099 basis and involves travel to partner therapist offices, often during evenings or weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric intake evaluations and screening to determine Spravato® eligibility.
- Prescribe Spravato® and begin documentation for insurance prior authorization.
- Provide on-site clinical support during Spravato® dosing sessions.
- Monitor patients during observation periods, including vitals, safety checks, and symptom monitoring.
- Complete documentation accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with operations teams and partner sites to support smooth patient flow.
- Support a calm, safe environment for small patient cohorts during treatment blocks.
Required
- Active NP or PA license in the state of practice.
- Current, unrestricted DEA registration.
- Willingness to associate DEA registration with partner site address(es) as needed.
- Comfort with outpatient monitoring and responding to clinical changes such as blood pressure changes, anxiety, and dissociation.
- Strong documentation skills and reliability with protocols.
- Willingness to complete required Spravato® REMS-related training.
Preferred
- Psychiatry experience.
- Experience with ketamine or esketamine workflows.
- Experience with TMS, infusion, or other clinical monitoring workflows.
